Adolescent girls faced a growing mental health crisis during the COVID-19 pandemic. Suicide attempts among girls ages 12–17 increased by 26% during summer 2020 and by 50% during winter 2021. At the same time, communities across the U.S. were experiencing significant shortages of mental health providers, making accessible tools for emotional support more important than ever.

ABCs of Encouragement for Girls is an uplifting, interactive book designed to help young girls and their caregivers build connection, resilience, and positive self-talk.
Using the alphabet as a framework, each letter introduces a meaningful value, mindset, or source of encouragement—creating simple opportunities to start conversations around confidence, perseverance, self-worth, and navigating life’s challenges.
Designed to be engaging and approachable for both children and adults, the book transforms everyday moments into opportunities for connection and reflection.
A Family-Led Mission
Created by father-daughter team Jeremy and Ella Rosario, the project was inspired by a shared desire to support and encourage the next generation of strong, confident, and independent women.
At its heart, ABCs of Encouragement for Girls is more than a book—it’s a tool for connection, designed to help girls feel seen, supported, and empowered as they grow.
